Early Childhood Education - Infant/Toddler & Special Needs
The Post-Basic E.C.E. Diploma Program is an extension of the Vancouver Career College Basic Early Childhood Education Certificate program, providing opportunities for career and educational advancement for E.C.E. graduates.
If you are a certified Early Childhood Educator or in the process of completing the required 500 hours work experience, these advanced course are for you.
These advanced courses will quickly lead you to a License to Practice as a Special Needs Educator or a License to Practice as an Infant/ Toddler Educator.Total specialization requires nine courses and two practicums. Individual areas of specialization require seven courses and one practicum. You will also have a choice to specialize in one of two areas: Infant/ Toddler Specialization (working with children under three years old), and Special Needs Specialization (working with children requiring extra support).
Courses are offered on a full time basis five days per week.
The classes are half days in order for you to complete the course and be employed as Early Childhood Educators.
Program Duration: 31 weeks (Including Practicum)
