Medical & Dental Office Administrator Program

This program responds to the unique challenges that medical and dental teams face within the 21st century and the need for office staff to assume a wider range of responsibilities.
Students learn basic medical terminology and pharmacology, and are trained to prepare and to understand basic medical and dental office tests.
Students also learn to assess and prioritize patient appointment requests and respond to patients’ basic questions about their medical and dental conditions and prescriptions.
The program also focuses on general office procedures and administration, including the use of medical and dental billing software and practice management packages.

Upon graduation, you are prepared to begin a career as an Admitting Clerk, Emergency Room Admitting Clerk, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary, Medical Transcriptionist, Medical or Dental Office Administrator, Medical or Dental Receptionist, Medical or Dental Claims Administrator.
Students will also meet job requirements to work in specialty medical and dental offices and to act as sales representatives for medical or dental manufacturing companies.
